Many people come to America pursuing a dream. Salvatore Viterbo is one such man. In 1995, Sal left his home in the mountains of Sicily in search of a way to share his passion for old style Italian cooking. After many years in the restaurant business he realized that he could only bring his unique style of traditional Sicilian cooking to the American people by opening his very own restaurant.
Sal learned his skills in the kitchen with his mother. His father, an italian farmer, taught him the importance of farm fresh ingredients. As one of eight children, Sal learned the time spent around the dinner table with his family was where tradition and memories were made. This created his passion to cook and to share with his family. Today he continues to share his delicious food and love of cooking with his wife and daughter.
He has brought his trademark Sunday Gravy recipe all the way from his Mama’s kitchen! Salvatore’s Cucina is a celebration of family, food and tradition.
